There are millions of individuals who within the past decade have tried to get a job within the United States but were rejected due to felonies or misdemeanors. Employers are allowed to deny any potential applicant a position, if the criminal background check returns with a felony or misdemeanor. This is the same discrimination as if the applicant were "black", or a "woman", even "mentally handicapped". These individuals have made mistakes like most people around the country and world but because the court system and state " each different" have labeled them felons or they have been to jail or prison, the employers can deny them work? Many of these people have families and bills and lives that cannot be truly lived because they cannot obtain work, not because they don't want a job or hate working, but because businesses discrimate against them and mistakes that they have "past tense" made. Anyone and everyone whether they have comitted crimes or not should not be subject to a criminal background check for employment.
