As a native of St. Lucie County and Inner City Fort Pierce, I have the foundation and moral intrinsic responsibility to fight for the citizens of St. Lucie County and have a broader vision for a brighter tomorrow and accessibility to the American dream. My origin of education stems from being a high school graduate of Fort Pierce Westwood High School as a student-athlete. As a stellar student-athlete at Fort Pierce Westwood, I was awarded a full athletic scholarship to the Great Bethune Cookman University (BCU) where I majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Political Science and I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Capella University. As a collegiate student-athlete at Bethune Cookman University, I was nominated to lead an open student forum for the College of Social Science entitled “Sustaining a Positive Community, The effects of poverty in the inner city”. <br /> As a professional, I have had the opportunities to be engaged in positions such as a Classification Officer at Martin County Correctional facility, St. Lucie County Certified Teacher/Administrator, Youth Development Mentor, Co-Founder of two community based non-profit organization and Advocate for Persons with Disabilities which has given me the skills needed to be a collaborative and transformative leader.
