<p>We, the undersigned students of Southern University firmly believe that the recent removal of Dr. Albert Samuels as the dean of the College of Social Sciences and Urban Affairs, and his subsequent replacement by Mr. Damien Ejigiri is a move that is not in our best interest. The opinions of the students, who are most affected by any change in faculty, was not asked, nor was there any attempt to make this decision widely known to the students. We believe that it is in the best interest of the students that Dr. Samuels, a man who's love for Southern University knows no boundaries and is as pure and true as the azure and golden hues that symbolize our great University be reinstated immediately.</p>
