PROTECT THE EL CORAZON SPECIFIC PLAN

<div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7768">The people of Oceanside have spent years planning for a great new park in the heart of our city- El Corazon. &nbsp; We are the Friends of El Corazon</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><em> Our mission as the Friends of El Corazon is to:</em></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7773">&nbsp;</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7775"><em><span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7777">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The Mission of the Friends of El Corazon is to support the implementation of the El Corazon Specific Plan as stewards of the Park.&nbsp;</span></em></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7747"><em><span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7779">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Our goals are to ensure that:</span></em></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7743"><em> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7745">All development in the Park is consistent with the community&rsquo;s vision</span></em></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7739"><em>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7741">The Park will be designed and operated for the benefit of the residents of Oceanside</span></em></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7736"><em>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7808">Community resources are available to support the development and operation of the park</span></em></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7734"><em>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1475088352684_7810">Outreach and education programs will be provided to engage the community</span></em></div><div dir="ltr"><em>and thereby help turn this dream into a reality. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</em></div><div dir="ltr">&nbsp;</div><div dir="ltr">Now we have a huge challenge as a developer proposes to increase allowed density to build 70 condos at the entrance to our park.&nbsp; Please sign our petition to urge the Mayor and City Council to support the people's vision for El Corazon (.link to our website)</div><div dir="ltr">&nbsp;</div><div>Mayor and City Council-&nbsp;</div><div>1) &nbsp; &nbsp;Please do not allow developers to change the specific plan for El Corazon without the input of the citizens of the City of Oceanside</div><div dir="ltr">2) &nbsp; &nbsp;Please instruct staff to require all changes to the Specific Plan be subject to a public input process</div><div dir="ltr">&nbsp;</div><div dir="ltr">&nbsp;</div><p>&nbsp;</p>
