<p>Hello fellow Mendes Army members!</p><p>Our names are Sara Denise Resendiz and Mariah Destini Monteon. We Live in Las Vegas (S) and Denver (M). We have been fans of Shawn for more than two years now. He's been such a huge part of our growth as individuals and has inspired us to become incredible, independent, and motivated human beings. Not only is he humble, extremely talented, respectful, and such an incredible role model, but he is someone that saved us from the hardest times in our lives. We can understand that several others in the fandom would also agree that he has changed their lives and for that reason, we'd like to propose a very exciting and incredible idea. While listening to the song "I Don't Even Know Your Name", an incredible idea occurred to the both of us that can change our lives for the better. We are aware that Shawn is currently on tour and that he will hopefully be on tour again when he releases his album, which we may say we are extremely excited for! While listening to the song we started to consider the meaning and and theme behind the song. It states the conflict between Shawn himself and a fan within the crowd. He seems to go throughout the song not knowing the girl's name, where she came from, or if he'll ever see her again. An ironic idea to this song would not only make any teenage girl's dream come true, but surely put a smile on Shawn's face as well and also giving him a chance to meet one of his fans face to face each night. While performing this song live, we would like to propose the idea of a fan in the stadium being specifically selected based off of who the managers believe deserve it best. For example, a girl who has been at the venue since 8:00am, or a young girl with hopes shining in her eyes and a big poster. The selected girl would be brought backstage before the song would be performed without notice of the crowd, then excitedly lead to a stool or special chair, where she would be serenaded by her idol in front of her home town. He would sing the song to the incredibly lucky fan, followed by the question, leading up to the point of the song. "What's your name?" He would ask, and only then could a beautiful new experience be born. I would like to point out that in doing so, Shawn would not only increase the sells of his tickets, but also be well known for the artists who makes any teenage girl's dream a reality. With this once in a lifetime experience at hand, any fan would kill to show Shawn their dedication, and motivation to do great things. This experience not only gives fans the opportunity to work for their dreams to become a reality, but gives fans all the reason to be a part of something, and get rewarded for it. This would also be a beautiful and amazing opportunity for Shawn to be a part of something even bigger with his fans. If you are reading this petition and agree with what you have read so far, we'd like to ask you to help this dream become a reality. By signing this petition, we can rally up a higher chance for this to actually happen, shifting the Shawn Mendes concert experience, from here on out. After this, he will know our names.
