<p>There is a level of division in our country that I have not seen in my lifetime. Tensions are high and debates are rampant over a number of issues that some would have separate us: race, religion, political affiliation. But never have these tensions struck so close to home as in the past few days when my lovely neighborhood of Bellevue has taken to the streets to boycott the fine people (and products) of Burlington Coat Factory. We are soon to get a Burlington Coat Factory in our neighborhood, but some have sounded the bell that simply because of who they are, they would not be welcomed. Petitions have been made and bigoted voices are at a fevered pitch. I am here to say that I will not stand for such outward bigotry in my lovely town. I will welcome the fine people (and products) of Burlington Coat Factory into my home with open arms and openly plead that you do too. I strongly believe that they will add yet another upper echelon establishment to our small part of Highway 70 South that includes Taco Bell, Dollar Tree, Goodwill and the new tenants in the shack formerly known as P'sgettis. If you agree with me, please sign this petition and pass it along to your friends and family for their signatures as well. I have a dream.
