It is time to stop just talking about the problem and force them to change the rules for those who are supposed to "Protect and Serve". We are willing to impeach a President for just being unfaithful to his wife because we hold them to a higher standard...why are we not holding police to a higher standard!?

I propose we require the following changes to make those people meant to uphold the law live by a higher standard:

#1-All investigation suspensions be "Unpaid"...why are bad cops getting a paid vacation while being investigated for murder!? If they are found innocent, then they would be retroactively paid for that time.

#2-All investigations be made immediately public and documented just like Supreme Court decisions. We have a right to see what evidence was presented and get an full explanation of why an officer is found innocent or guilty.

and finally

#3-If an officer is found guilty of using lethal force illegally, that they must face the same criminal sentencing that anyone else would face for committing murder.

These people are meant to protect us from criminals. Instead, they have become the ones we fear the most because they have the law on their sides even when they are the ones committing the crime.

They need to be held to a higher standard, and enforcement of real consequences is the only way to change this broken system.
