<p>The Elks Movie Theatre in Middletown PA has been in operation since 1911 and is Americas second oldest continuously operating movie theatre. In 2015 the Elks Theatre was temporarily closed for major renovations. Part of those renovations have been completed but there is still a lot of work that needs done. </p><p>The Middletown Borough owns the Elks Theatre and has since 2014. Recently the Borough Council has been debating the costs to finish the renovations and if the people want the Borough to spend upwards of $500,000 to finish those renovations. </p><p>Please sign this petition to show your support for the Elks Theatre and by doing so you will be letting the Middletown Borough Council know that you support spending the money to finish the renovations and getting this community treasure back open. </p>
