Naming Craig Cove at Newark Pond

<p>To commemorate the 75th anniversary of our camp at Newark Pond, we hope to officially name the small inlet in front of the camp&nbsp;<em>Craig Cove</em> after my grandfather and great-grandfather.</p><p>The camp was built by my great-grandfather, Alba Zeno Craig, a carpenter who built many camps on Newark Pond as well as at Lake Willoughby. He was the personal carpenter for the Darling Family as well. His son, my grandfather, Donald Ames Craig, built this camp together in 1941. Don Craig was a poet, whose reverence for the pond is obvious in his many poems about the pond. The camp has since seen five generations of our family.&nbsp;</p><p>The <a href="https://www.usgs.gov/">USGS</a>, working with the <a href="http://libraries.vermont.gov/">Vermont State Libraries</a>, will review our proposal, but we must garner at least 25 signatures showing local support.
