<p>â</p><p>Considering that we have been given full use of the Ruffner Mountain Facilities, including the use of their storage unit for our trailer and any other grotto equipment we wish to store, in exchange for a minimal amount of volunteer work to help maintain the property, we believe that this venue is in the best interest of the grotto.</p><p>Other venues, including restaurants, bars, breweries, libraries etc. do not offer the same amount of benefits as Ruffner. We are not being charged a fee for use of the facility because we do a minimal amount of work for them in order to maintain the property.</p><p>The Birmingham Grotto will be able to bring its own food and beverages in any amount in order to add a more social and pleasant tone to the atmosphere of the meeting. Ruffner will provide storage for food, beer, and other refreshments. For those of us who wish to socialize after the meeting, the back porch or the pavilion are available. Ruffner is also a conservation organization and shares similar goals with the Birmingham Grotto and the NSS. No other venue will be able to meet the needs of the Grotto as well as Ruffner.
