Southern culture isn't completely bad. Southerners can be sweeter and everything in the South tends to move slower than everywhere else. But moving slowly can be a bad thing too. The South's culture is stuck in the past. Way in the past. Racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia is higher in the South than the rest of America. Sure, the South gave us sweet tea - which is okay I guess - and cornbread and pulled pork barbecue, but is that really worth the restriction of basic human rights? Such as the right to use the bathroom? Put simply, in today's world, Southern culture just isn't benefiting our country as a whole, so why do we still have it?
