Coalinga Regional Medical Center serves the Coalinga community. CRMC has been providing the community with affordable and valuable CPR classes.

As of April 7, CRMC will no longer provide the community or its employees CPR certification. Healthcare employees are required to maintain CPR certification as a condition of employment. The decision to stop providing the CPR training has a direct economic impact on the community and the CRMC employees. In addition, termination of this program decreases the amount of community members who are trained with a tool that can save a life.

CRMC termination of CPR training means the community and its employees will have to travel to Fresno and pay $100 to get the same training that Coalinga Regional Medical Center was providing to the community for $50, and free to its employees.

To the honorable Coalinga Regional Medical Center Board of Directors:

The undersigned Coalinga community members and CRMC employees, hereby request CRMC Board of Directors and its CEO, reflect on their decision’s harmful impact to the community and reinstate the program.
