Parsons is a progressive and liberal school for fashion design. We are allowed to delve into and create garments from any topic we wish. There's one problem, though. Currently there is only 1 plus sized (size 22) mannequin in the entire school. Many students at parsons want to create garments for a more average sized customer (size 14). This is hard to do, since there are many buildings, classrooms, and students.

We are coming into a new era of body positivity and acceptance. It would make sense that there should more size diversity when creating the clothes you want. I, along with other students don't want to be confined into the size 6 box. We also shouldn't have to schedule the time to share 1 mannequin between many students.
