<p>Please sign this petition if you oppose the proposed development project (called Hokulei) above Kaeleloi Place. This 19-dwelling cluster housing project intends to use Kaeleloi Place during their entire construction phase, which could last years. The street will also be used by the new Hokulei residents to access their homes. With the street already overcrowded, the additional traffic will only add to an already congested area. More importantly, there are known hazards and dangers regarding landslides, unstable soil, flooding and falling debris. Let's not forget the deluge of 1987 and the resulting condemnation of properties on Papahehi Place. A quick drive up this road and you can feel the twisted earth and see the vacant lots, almost 30 years later following the aftermath. If you are opposed to this development, please sign the petition and include your email address so we can give you updates on this very important issue.</p><p>For property owners on Kaeleloi Place: Please don't forget to attend your next annual Kuliou'ou Valley Vista Association meeting this month. Please contact Hawaiiana Management if you don't know the date of your meeting. The Phase 1 association meeting is scheduled for March 14, 2016 at Hawaii Kai Library at 6p. The Presidents of both Kuliouou Valley Vistas Phase 1 and Phase 2 have already met with the developer and we have heard that they are NOT opposed to this project, and instead want to work with the developer.</p><p>And last, please don't forget to attend the next Kulou'ou Neighborhood Board Meeting on April 7, 2016 at Aina Haina Library. The developer will be returning to present their project again.
