<p>Thank you for visiting!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We are Dead Zero Shooting, and we are working to develop a shooting park here in Hamilton County Tennessee. We will offer numerous range types and distances to fit multiple shooting disciplines in a safe, fun and family-friendly atmosphere. Our range will be fully ADA compliant. We will also have a Club House with Pro Shop and an outdoor covered pavilion with kitchen for groups and families to use.</p><p>We will be working with our regional Boy Scouts of America, Veterans Groups, local High School shooting teams and many more to help better our community</p><p><br />It will be located in Graysville, TN at the top of Retro Hughes Rd. It will be a 30-minute drive from downtown Chattanooga.</p><p><br />As many of you know there are those in our Country, and even in our area here in Southeast Tennessee that are anti-gun. Those people tend to be the loudest most vocal group.</p><p><br />Some of the most vocal concerns and opposition is as follows:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The proximity to the Cumberland Trail. The Cumberland Trail at its closest proximity to our closest range is +/- 0.5 miles or 2640 feet, on the other side of Retro Hughes Rd, through thick woods , at a a 70 foot lower elevation than the range and with a mountain between it that has an elevation of up to 80 feet higher than the elevation of the range. The ranges themselves are orientated to face in the exact opposite direction of the trail. There is no possible way that anyone on the trail could ever be struck by a round that emanates from our proposed range.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Lead Concerns have been brought up. We will be following and exceeding the EPA's Best Management Practices for lead management on a range. All rounds will be contained within engineered backstops. Those areas where rounds collect will be soil tested twice a year, and lime added to keep the soil pH between 6.5-7.5. This will prevent the lead from leaching into the ground. Every five years a lead reclamation company will be hired to remove the dirt from the backstops, filter it for the lead, clean the dirt and replace it on the backstop.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Dead Zero will also follow numerous sound abatement practices and NRA recommended safety practices to bring the local impact to near zero.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><br />We need you to sign our petition supporting Dead Zero Shooting and our endeavor to bring a safe, fun, community oriented and family friendly shooting park to Southeast Tennessee.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Your voice needs to be heard!
