listen to this...

Imagine you wake up Friday. You have a throbbing head ache. You feel like crap. And can barely stand. You hope that it's Saturday only to be disappointed by your callendar. It's friday. A school day.

Now listen to me.

Every Friday is torture for any student you ask. People say Mondays are worse but if it wasn't Mondays it would be Tuesday so we can't change that. But Fridays are complete torture when you think about it.

Kids need REST. First of all, think of all the athletes who are at school? Don't you think they are tired? What about all the tests we have during the week? Don't you think that makes us mentally dead? And what about growing up in general? Puberty and growing can make us extremely tired as well.

I personally think if Fridays had no school, we would save so much more energy! We would save alot!

But what about the elementary school kids? Or the middle school and high school kids who aren't allowed to stay home alone (considering there parents are at work). I know the solution. The cafeteria could be like a study hall. Finish homework, projects, study for tests, attend tutoring, etc. And for the younger kids, there would be some fun activities for them to do. And again only the cafeteria would be open so we would still be saving energy from the rest of the school.

School is essential for us kids. I understand that. BUT a two day weekend isn't long enough for us to get rest and prepare for 5 day school week ahead. If we can't pay any attention, there's no point.

Thank you for listening to my plea

Warning: this applies to schools in Georgia in the United States.
