Stop Construction on Charles River

In the John Eliot Historic District in South Natick, between 100 and 102 Eliot St lies a narrow swarth of land that has remained untouched since before John Eliot arrived in Natick. In Natick this is probably the last pristine open space situated between two public ways; the Charles River and Eliot Street where there is a view from the street, down along and across the river and back. This is among the last, perhaps THE last Natural view the people of Natick have to witness our town now - as it was centuries ago. From the street, residents, commuters , runners, and bicyclists have been able to enjoy a pristine, uncluttered, natural view of the Charles River, as it was in the 1600's when the Praying Indians fished from its shores. . Over the past five years construction of two thousand plus + housing units in Natick has claimed much of open space and created more housing than needed. Consequently, is ample real estate in Natick that is available without disrupting a historically significant parcel. The preservation of this site because of it's aesthetic, historic and conservation significance is indisputable. Please join the 900+/- people that have already signed this petition to prevent this historic natural landscape from being disrupted by construction. name___________________ ____________________ Date__________ I am resident of Natick_______ Sent from my iPad
