<p>Just for one day....at least wouldn't it be fitting, to have the classic David Bowie Hit 'Heroes' as our English National Anthem? </p><p>The death of Bowie on 11th January 2016 hit the nation hard in many ways. He was, no is, an icon in the music world and inspired much of British Pop Culture over 5 decades. </p><p>It is not until we lose such icons that we really appreciate what they brought us, so as a tribute, I felt this would be fitting. </p><p>Besides, the world we live in today, is messed up; terrorism on our doorsteps, immoral, ignorant government officials, flooding, national debt, poverty among our own, not just abroad and we're all feeling a little disillusioned at times. Wouldn;t it be uplifting if at the European Championships, this summer, we could stand side by side with the England team belting out 'Heroes' at the top of our lungs and with a tear in our eyes, just to bring back some pride to our nation...even if it is....just for one day. </p><p> </p><p>I'm certain there is no law that says we HAVE to sing God Save the Queen... so let's not, let us be Heroes - just for one day.</p><p>Sign up and share, tell your mates, your mums, your nan's, milkman's, cousin's, pedicurist to all sign up and for once, let's sing a national anthem with class and feel proud again.
