Ban parents from travelling with babies and small children on overnight coaches.

Those of us who have to travel cross country regularly are only too familiar with taking long overnight coach journeys, and hoping to sleep through it, but being met on every occasion with the maddening sight of parents boarding the overnight coach with babies and small children.

We know when we see young children on these coaches to expect a 7-10 hour journey of relentless screaming/ crying and shouting, during which we will be a captive audience.

We of course realise that parents need to use coaches to travel with their babies and small children, we ask only that something be put in place to stop children under the age of 7 being brought onto overnight coaches.

Daytime and evening coaches run throughout the rest of the day, these coaches are obviously more appropriate for children of that age, as you can expect the children to be awake, and nobody will be expecting to sleep during the journey. Overnight coaches are taken by people taking long trips at unsociable hours and hoping to sleep.

Sign the petition today, let's get our secretary of state for transport on-board with the petition to ban overnight coach travel for under7's.
