Dear One WestBluff Homeowner,

Recently, many homeowners within the community received fines from VitCo Properties at the direction of the HOA Board of Directors. As a homeowner with 2 young children, I bought a home within the community for the child friendly setting. This includes being able to place a functioning, clean, well maintained basketball court in my driveway without having to move the heavy apparatus into the rear yard at the end of every day. Although I understand the intention of keeping the appearance of the community at a high standard, these fines are misdirected and frivolous. I believe that more attention should be paid to keeping the metal community message board in good shape and truly fining homeowners who have not kept their yards in decent shape. I do not think that the presence of a basketball court is an eye sore. Furthermore, prior management companies have approved this in the past. Moreover, despite the mention of this as an issue within the CC&R’s, I believe the power rests with us as homeowners to change or amend these bylaws. I have requested a slot to address the HOA board at the next meeting, and am hoping to present them with a list of signatures from homeowners in support of allowing a single, well maintained, basketball court that is in good working order to be kept in the front yard without having to be “brought in” overnight. If you are in support of this, I kindly ask you sign the below petition.

Petition to: Allow a single, well maintained, basketball court that is in good working order to be kept in the front yard/driveway overnight.
