<p>I would like to start a petition to have parent parking spaces controlled by a parking permit or such like. I am getting fed up seeing people use these spaces who are not supposed to be, when us parents have to drive about looking for a wide enough parking space. There are far too little parent spaces in car parks as it is. I would like to make it more strict to park in them, by maybe the means of a permit, just like disabled parking spaces require. I have noticed how many elderly or disabled people also continue to use parent spaces, but if its the other way around, its a different story. I once parked in one in an Asda store as it was the only wide enough space left (there was actually more than 20 free) to enable me to open the door fully to get my child out. I barely even got out the car before I was pounced upon, & being threatened with police & fines. I think if parent spaces were more strictly controlled, it would make genuine parents who require these spaces lives much easier.</p>
