<p>As a concerned tax-payer from the City of Tallahassee, I believe that we deserve an explanation from the city planners and the mayor of Tallahassee on the catastrophic infrastructure failure that took place after impact of Hurricane Hermine. The City of Tallahassee has wasted so much money on failing tourist attractions including the multi-million dollar Amphitheater which has cost the tax-payers of Tallahassee hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost revenue. The infrastructure of failing roadways that flood over a simple rain storm, antiquated power systems that brings down 80% of our grid (what if it was a category 3-4) and not to mention the dismal performance of the Tallahassee "International" Airport that needed to be fixed FIRST so we can bring tourism to Tallahassee and THEN build an Amphitheater. The city is too busy putting makeup on buildings when tax-payers actually NEED underground utilities, sidewalks including bike paths and an actual feasible Mass Transit system, instead of an Amphitheater that loses an average of $60,000 per event. Tallahassee citizens, we deserve to be heard and receive an explanation on the failure of the city during this hurricane.
