<p>I am asking for your help with asking Cafe DuMonde to offer a vegan beignet as a menu option.<br /> <br />Many more people are avoiding eating animal products and animal by-byproducts for health, ethical, and religious concerns. Concerned environmentalist are skipping meat and dairy based foods and beverages for environmental reasons. As people become more educated about the effects of the meat and dairy industry on this world, the vegan population will grow at even a more rapid rate. </p><p>Up to 50 million Americans are lactose intolerant; 90 percent of Asian Americans and 75 percent of Native and African Americans suffer each day with this condition. A vegan diet is their only solution. We are seeing the demand for non dairy and vegan products by the lactose intolerant population increase by the day.</p><p>We vegans would love to sit and indulge in a delicious vegan beignet at Cafe du Monde. All we are asking is that Cafe du Monde substitute the eggs with an egg replacer or an easy combination of water and milled flax seeds. We are also simply asking them to replace the cows milk with non dairy milk such as almond, soy, hemp. cashew or rice milk. These are two simple ingredients, that are very easy and inexpensive to substitute, in order to make a delicious vegan beignet.</p><p>Please let Cafe du Monde know that you will eat at their cafe if they offer this vegan beignet. We need your support and signatures for Cafe du Monde to open their business to serving the ever growing population of Vegans. Encourage them to go with the increase in demand for vegan options in restaurants. Tell them by not offering a vegan option, you are unable to dine at their establishment. </p><p>Please sign this petition and encourage others to continue asking Cafe DuMonde for this simple request.</p><p> </p><p> </p>
